Our projects

The Bologna LGBTQIA+ Choir carries out numerous artistic and educational projects, in synergy with the community, the city and institutions.

With our music we help build a great community and carry on the battle for the rights of all.

On September 29, 2022, Komos APS, along with 31 other associations, collectives and informal groups, signed the General pact of cooperation For the promotion and protection of the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.. Networking of best practices, forms of logistical, economic, communicative and administrative support, collaboration in the development of policies to enhance the value of differences and combat discrimination in the City of Bologna: these are the cornerstones of the new Pact, defined together with the member associations for the 2021-2026 administrative term in the city of Bologna.

Varius Voices 2023

Various Voices is the festival of European LGBTQIA+ choirs.

In 2023 it will be our very own Bologna that will host more than 100 choirs not only from all over Europe, but also from America and Africa.

We will have the honor of being guests at this great event.

Komos&Co

Komos&Co is the music festival that makes community. Every year, between May and June, the Komos choir organizes a calendar of concert-events that bring music personalities to Bologna to share art, experiences, and passion.
Each year with our review we also give visibility to a community association, which is active in the area.

The 2022 edition of the festival, VOICES POP UP, is a project supported with Eight Per Thousand funds from the Waldensian Church.

My free song

Much more than a performance: My free song is a real educational path that the Komos offers to schools, to accompany classes on a path of knowledge and awareness about the history of the persecution of queer people during fascism. Through our voice and music, but also through the reading and viewing of many cultural contributions.

The initiative is carried out by Komos Association and Flavia Madaschi Documentation Center - Arcigay Il Cassero as part of the General Pact of Collaboration for the promotion and protection of the rights of LGBTQIA+ people and community in the city of Bologna 2022-26
